Day 17. Here’s the truth: purity isn’t just about not doing something wrong. It’s about loving Someone right.
❤️ Introduction: Purity Flows From Love
Here’s the truth: purity isn’t just about not doing something wrong. It’s about loving Someone right.
When Jesus was asked the greatest commandment, He didn’t talk about avoiding sin. He said:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” (Matthew 22:37, NIV)
Brother, if you want freedom from lust, it begins with loving God fully. Because when your heart is captured by Him, there’s no room left for the cheap counterfeits. 🙌
🕳️ My Story: Loving Halfway
For years, I loved God halfway. I’d go to church, sing songs, pray sometimes—but my heart was divided. I loved God on Sunday, but lust on Monday.
I wanted His blessing without surrendering my affection.
The turning point came when I realized: you can’t fully love God while holding hands with sin. He wanted my whole heart. And when I gave Him everything—my eyes, my thoughts, my desires—He gave me freedom I never thought possible.
📖 Scripture on Loving God Fully
Matthew 22:37–38 (NIV):
“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.”
John 14:15 (NIV):
“If you love me, keep my commands.”
Love isn’t just feelings—it’s obedience.
Deuteronomy 6:5 (NIV):
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”
Love is total devotion.
