User-Generated Content (UGC) Policy

This User-Generated Content Policy (“UGC Policy”) governs any content submitted, posted, uploaded, or otherwise made available through the HolyJot platform (the “Platform”) by users, including journal entries, essays, discussion posts, multimedia files, video clips, comments, responses to AI prompts, and participation in book clubs, study groups, or Converge forums (“User Content”).

This User-Generated Content Policy (“UGC Policy”) governs any content submitted, posted, uploaded, or otherwise made available through the HolyJot platform (the “Platform”) by users, including journal entries, essays, discussion posts, multimedia files, video clips, comments, responses to AI prompts, and participation in book clubs, study groups, or Converge forums (“User Content”).

By using HolyJot and submitting any form of content, you agree to abide by this UGC Policy in addition to our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. This policy exists to protect both users and the integrity of our Christ-centered community.

1. Ownership & License

You retain ownership of any original content you create and upload to HolyJot. However, by submitting User Content, you grant HolyJot, LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable, and sublicensable license to:

Host, store, display, and reproduce your content on our Platform
Share your content in community settings (e.g., study groups, book clubs, Converge discussions)
Use your content for educational, testimonial, or marketing purposes with attribution
Review, moderate, or delete content that violates our policies or legal obligations

2. Acceptable User Content

All User Content must reflect biblical values, and align with our faith-based mission. This includes but is not limited to:

Truthfulness: Your content should be honest, accurate, and not misleading
Respect: Speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), even when disagreeing
Edification: Content should uplift others and reflect a Spirit-led walk (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
Faithfulness: Content should not contradict core tenets of biblical Christianity
Humility: Avoid arrogance or self-promotion; let Christ be glorified (John 3:30)

3. Prohibited Content

HolyJot has zero tolerance for content that:

Harasses, mocks, or insults others
Uses profanity, slurs, or offensive language
Demeans Christian faith, Scripture, or Jesus Christ
Promotes false doctrine or anti-biblical ideologies
Encourages self-harm, violence, or illegal activity
Contains pornography, nudity, or sexually explicit material
Infringes on third-party copyright, trademark, or privacy rights
Spams, scams, or promotes commercial products without permission
Is generated with the intent to manipulate or bypass content filters or AI safeguards

If in doubt, ask: Would this content honor God and edify others?

4. Moderation & Review

HolyJot reserves the right to:

Remove, hide, or restrict any User Content at our sole discretion
Suspend or ban users for repeated violations
Flag content for review when reported by the community
Preserve or disclose content when required by law

Content moderation may involve manual review, community reporting, and automated detection technologies.

5. Use of AI (“Faith”)

Content generated through our Christian AI companion Faith also qualifies as User Content. You are responsible for the prompts you enter and how you choose to share or respond to AI-generated content. Avoid using Faith for:

Generating or promoting anti-Christian ideas
Encouraging sin or unbiblical behavior
Circumventing moderation policies or prompts designed to manipulate output

Faith is here to support, not replace, your walk with God and the authority of Scripture.

6. Third-Party Rights & Copyright

You must own or have the legal right to use any text, images, video clips, or other material you submit. Do not:

Copy and paste others’ work without permission or attribution
Upload copyrighted media without a license
Use likenesses of other individuals without their consent
Violate trademark or brand guidelines

7. Reporting Violations

If you encounter User Content that violates this policy, report it immediately using our in-platform reporting tools or by emailing:

8. Termination & Accountability

Repeated or severe violations may result in:

Suspension or termination of your account
Removal of all related content

Legal action, if applicable

You agree to hold HolyJot harmless for any claims or disputes arising from your User Content, and to indemnify us for legal costs and damages resulting from your content or behavior.
