We love hearing from Christian writers. Submit an article and, once it's approved, we'll publish it on the HolyJot blog with your byline and a backlink to your site.
Why we charge $50 for guest posts
HolyJot is 99% free. Journaling, Bible study, prayer tools, church management, and our free tools serve tens of thousands of people around the world, and we plan to keep it that way.
We now receive far more guest post requests than we can read. Every submission takes real time to review, edit, format, and publish, and we can't do all of that for free. The $50 fee pays for that work, so we can keep accepting outside writers without taking time away from the free tools our community relies on.
The fee doesn't buy approval. Every article goes through the same editorial review. If we decline yours, we refund the full $50.
Editorial review
A real person reads every submission for theological soundness, accuracy, originality, and fit with our readers.
Editing & formatting
We clean up formatting, headings, and Scripture references so your piece reads well on desktop and mobile.
Publishing & upkeep
We add images, metadata, and your byline, publish it on the HolyJot blog, and keep it online.
Guest posts are labeled as sponsored content
Because guest posts are paid for, we label them clearly. Your article will carry a Sponsored label, and your backlink will use rel="sponsored", as Google's guidelines and FTC disclosure rules require for paid placements. We think our readers deserve to know when content was paid for, and the label keeps your site and ours in good standing with search engines.
How it works
- 1Fill out the form, attach your article, and choose your backlink anchor text and URL.
- 2Pay the $50 review and posting fee through secure Stripe checkout.
- 3We review your article and email you a decision within 7 business days.
- 4If it's approved, we publish it as sponsored content and send you the live link. If we decline it, you get the full $50 back.
Editorial guidelines
- Original, unpublished work: no AI-generated filler and nothing copied from elsewhere.
- 800–2,500 words on faith, Scripture, church life, ministry, or Christian living.
- Consistent with historic, orthodox Christian teaching, and written with grace.
- One backlink to a relevant, family-friendly site. No gambling, adult, payday-loan, or other spammy destinations.
- Cite your sources. Quote Scripture accurately and name the translation.
