Feel called by God but unworthy or unprepared? This 7-day Bible study empowers women to overcome doubt and step boldly into their God-given purpose.
You feel it in your heartâthat quiet tug, that whisper from God calling you to something more. Maybe itâs a ministry, a career shift, a book idea, a conversation, or a dream youâve carried for years. But right after the calling comes the fear: Who am I to do this? Iâm not ready. Iâm not enough.
If youâve ever felt too broken, too uneducated, too sinful, too shy, too old, too young, or just too inadequate to step into what God is calling you to, youâre not alone. In fact, youâre in good company with nearly every person God used in Scripture.
This Bible study is for every woman who senses a divine purpose but wrestles with paralyzing doubt. Over the next 7 days, we will:
You donât have to be perfect to walk in purpose. You donât need a flawless past to have a faith-filled future. God doesnât call the qualifiedâHe qualifies the called.
Letâs explore together what it means to say yes to God, even when you donât feel ready.
đ Scripture of the Day
Primary Verse â 1 Corinthians 1:27â29 (NIV):
âBut God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised thingsâand the things that are notâto nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.â
đ Supporting Scriptures
Exodus 4:10â12 (NIV):
Moses said to the Lord, âPardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent... I am slow of speech and tongue.â The Lord said... âNow go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.â
Judges 6:15â16 (NIV):
âPardon me, my lord,â Gideon replied, âbut how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest⌠and I am the least in my family.â The Lord answered, âI will be with you.â
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV):
âBut he said to me, âMy grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.ââ
đĄ Devotional Thought
Thereâs a pattern woven through every page of the Bibleâand itâs not what most of us expect. God doesn't seek out the polished, confident, or put-together to accomplish His purposes. He looks for the willing. The humble. The broken. The least likely.
Moses stuttered.
Gideon was riddled with insecurity.
Esther was an orphan.
Rahab had a past.
Mary was a teenage girl.
And yet, every single one of them was calledâand used.
1 Corinthians 1:27â29 reminds us that God chooses the foolish, the weak, the lowlyâso that He gets the glory, not us. Thatâs not a flaw in His system. Itâs the design.
When you feel unqualified, itâs not a sign to runâit's a reason to lean in. Your weakness doesnât disqualify you; it actually positions you perfectly to depend on His strength.
You may say, âBut Iâm not ready. I donât know enough. Iâve made too many mistakes.â
God says, âI will go with you. I will equip you. My grace is enough.â
The next time doubt creeps in and whispers youâre not enough, remember: God never asked you to be enoughâHe asked you to say yes.

đ Prayer for the Day
Lord,
I confess that I often believe I need to have it all together to be used by You. I compare myself to others. I doubt my voice, my experience, my strength. I disqualify myself before I even try.
But today, I choose to believe what You say is true: that You use the weak, the humble, the brokenâand You turn our mess into something beautiful.
I donât have all the answers, Lord. But I do have a willing heart. Teach me to trust Your calling more than I trust my fear. Let Your strength be made perfect in my weakness. And when I hesitate, remind me that You never expected me to walk alone.
Qualify me in the places I feel least prepared. Fill me with courage to take one step toward Your purpose today. Thank You for choosing meâeven when I would never have chosen myself.
In Jesusâ name,
Amen.
đ Scripture of the Day
Primary Verse â Joshua 1:9 (NIV):
âHave I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.â
đ Supporting Scriptures
Isaiah 41:10 (NIV):
âSo do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.â
Luke 1:30 (NIV):
âBut the angel said to her, âDo not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.ââ
Psalm 56:3 (NIV):
âWhen I am afraid, I put my trust in you.â
đĄ Devotional Thought
Courage is not the absence of fearâitâs the willingness to obey God in spite of it. Most of us wait to feel ready, calm, or confident before we move forward with Godâs call. But the truth is, obedience often begins in fear.
When Joshua stood on the edge of the Promised Land, inheriting the leadership mantle from Moses, he wasnât brimming with confidence. He was likely overwhelmed and scared. But God didnât tell him to wait until he felt readyâHe said, âBe strong and courageous⌠for the Lord your God will be with you.â
That promise hasnât changed.
Fear is part of the journeyâbut itâs not your guide. Itâs not your Lord. When God calls you forward, He doesn't expect you to silence every ounce of fear. He simply asks you to trust that He is with you.
Think of Mary, the mother of Jesus. When the angel appeared to her with the call of a lifetime, the first words spoken were: âDo not be afraid.â She didnât have all the answers. But she said yes.
You can too.
You may never feel fully fearlessâbut you can be faithful.
Say yes. Even if your voice shakes. Even if your heart pounds. Even if your hands tremble. Say yes.
God doesnât bless perfection. He blesses obedience.

đ Prayer for the Day
Father,
You know how often I let fear speak louder than faith. I want to follow You, but sometimes the âwhat ifsâ paralyze me. What if I fail? What if people reject me? What if I donât have what it takes?
But today, I want to obeyâeven while afraid. I want to be like Mary, who said âyesâ before she understood the plan. I want to be like Joshua, who crossed into the unknown believing You would go with him.
Help me take the next step, Lord. Quiet the fears that shout in my mind. Remind me that fear is not my rulerâYou are. Give me holy courage to move forward. Not because I feel ready, but because You are with me.
Thank You for being my strength when I am scared. I will not let fear have the final say. I choose faith.
In Jesusâ name,
Amen.
đ Scripture of the Day
Primary Verse â Romans 8:1 (NIV):
âTherefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.â
đ Supporting Scriptures
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV):
âTherefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!â
John 8:10â11 (NIV):
âJesus straightened up and asked her, âWoman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?â âNo one, sir,â she said. âThen neither do I condemn you,â Jesus declared. âGo now and leave your life of sin.ââ
Psalm 103:12 (NIV):
âAs far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.â
đĄ Devotional Thought
One of the enemyâs favorite tactics is dragging your past into your present every time you try to step forward. He wants you to believe that because you made mistakesâbecause you were broken, ashamed, or rebelliousâyou are forever disqualified.
But God doesnât see you through the lens of your past. He sees you through the lens of the cross.
Romans 8:1 makes it clear: âThere is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.â None. Not a little. Not some. None. If God Himself no longer condemns you, who are you to keep living in self-condemnation?
Look at the woman caught in adultery in John 8. Everyone around her had a stone in hand, ready to define her by her worst moment. But Jesus disarmed themâand then turned to her and said, âNeither do I condemn you. Go now and leave your life of sin.â
He didnât just forgive her. He restored her identity.
Thatâs what Heâs doing for you.
Yes, you have a past. We all do. But in Jesus, you have a future. Your story doesnât end in shameâit begins in grace. God doesnât erase your story⌠He redeems it.
And He loves to use women with a past to build His Kingdom. Just ask Rahab. Or the Samaritan woman. Or Mary Magdalene.
So lift your head. Walk in freedom. Youâre not the sum of your sinsâyouâre a daughter of the King.

đ Prayer for the Day
Jesus,
There are moments when my past screams louder than Your promises. The enemy reminds me of everything Iâve done wrong. And some days, I believe him. I carry shame like a weight I canât drop.
But You say Iâm forgiven. You say Iâm free. You say there is no condemnation for those who belong to You.
So today, I choose to believe You.
I surrender my past at the foot of the cross. Every mistake. Every regret. Every wound. I release it all.
Rewrite my story with Your grace. Use my pain as part of my purpose. Let my healing point others to Your glory.
Thank You for loving meâeven when I couldnât love myself.
In Your holy name,
Amen.
đ Scripture of the Day
Primary Verse â Acts 4:13 (NIV):
âWhen they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.â
đ Supporting Scriptures
Judges 4:4â5 (NIV):
âNow Deborah, a prophet, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time. She held court⌠and the Israelites went up to her to have their disputes decided.â
Luke 8:2â3 (NIV):
ââŚand also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases⌠Mary (called Magdalene)⌠Joanna⌠Susannaâand many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.â
Proverbs 31:27â29 (NIV):
âShe watches over the affairs of her household⌠Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.â
đĄ Devotional Thought
If youâve ever said, âIâm just a mom⌠just a wife⌠just a church volunteer⌠just a quiet womanâŚââthis day is for you.
God delights in using ordinary people to carry out His extraordinary plans. In Acts 4:13, the religious leaders were astonished that Peter and Johnâordinary, uneducated menâwere boldly proclaiming the gospel. Their power didnât come from education or eloquence. It came from having been with Jesus.
Thatâs what matters most.
Throughout Scripture, God used women who werenât royalty, wealthy, or well-known. Deborah led a nation. Ruth redeemed a family line. The woman at the well became the first evangelist in Samaria. Lydia hosted a house church. Mary birthed the Savior of the world.
None of them were âqualifiedâ in the worldâs eyes. But they were available. And that was enough.
You donât need a platform to have purpose. You donât need to be seen by the world to be chosen by God. He sees you.
The same God who formed the galaxies formed youâon purpose, for a purpose.
So stop saying youâre âjustâ anything. Youâre a daughter of the King. A vessel of the Spirit. A walking testimony of grace. Thatâs not ordinary. Thatâs Kingdom.

đ Prayer for the Day
Lord,
Sometimes I forget that You use the humble and hiddenânot just the loud or impressive. I look at others and feel behind. I wonder if my life matters. I worry that Iâm not enough to make a difference.
But today, I choose to believe what Youâve always said: You use the ordinary to do the extraordinary.
I offer You my lifeâall of it. The quiet moments. The daily routines. The parts no one sees. Use it all. Let my faithfulness, not my fame, be what honors You most.
Teach me to find joy in serving You where I am, not just where I hope to be.
Thank You for choosing me, even in my simplicity.
In Jesusâ name,
Amen.
đ Scripture of the Day
Primary Verse â 2 Corinthians 3:5 (NIV):
âNot that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.â
đ Supporting Scriptures
Philippians 1:6 (NIV):
âBeing confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.â
Exodus 31:2â3 (NIV):
âSee, I have chosen Bezalel⌠and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills.â
James 1:5 (NIV):
âIf any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.â
đĄ Devotional Thought
If God is calling you, He will equip you. Full stop.
But thatâs easy to forget when you feel overwhelmed by all you donât know or have. Maybe you donât have a degree, a certification, the right words, or the confidence. Maybe youâve never led before, taught before, spoken up before. Maybe you feel like youâre standing at the edge of a cliff with no bridge in sight.
But here's the good news: God is the bridge.
2 Corinthians 3:5 reminds us that our competence doesnât come from ourselvesâit comes from God. You donât have to be enough because He is enough. You donât have to carry the pressure of being fully prepared. You have to be willing, obedient, and humble enough to ask for help.
When God called Bezalel to build the Tabernacle in Exodus 31, He filled him with skill, knowledge, and creativity. When Solomon asked for wisdom, God gave it generously. When the disciples were sent out, Jesus said the Holy Spirit would teach them what to say.
He doesnât call you and then leave you empty-handed.
He fills in every gap youâre worried about. Every weakness. Every unknown. Every lack.
So instead of focusing on what you donât have, ask God to pour in what He does. He will. He always does.

đ Prayer for the Day
Dear Lord,
I confess that I often fixate on what I lack. I see the gaps, the weaknesses, the missing piecesâand I assume that disqualifies me. But Your Word reminds me that You are my strength. My source. My competence.
Today, I shift my focus. Instead of worrying about what I donât have, I choose to trust what You do have. Fill me with Your wisdom. Pour into me everything I need to do what Youâve asked.
I donât need to have it all figured outâbecause I have You.
You are my helper. My teacher. My guide.
Thank You for never calling me to something You wonât also equip me for.
I open my heart and hands today. Fill the gaps, Lord.
In Jesusâ name,
Amen.

Primary Verse â Zechariah 4:6 (NIV):

âI am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.â
1 Peter 4:11 (NIV):
ââŚIf anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.â
Galatians 2:20 (NIV):
âI have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.â
đĄ Devotional Thought
We live in a world that constantly tells us to âbelieve in yourself.â But the gospel flips that on its headâit tells us to believe in God working through you.
When God gives you a calling, itâs not so you can prove your own strength. Itâs so you can reflect His. Your life is not a spotlightâitâs a mirror. And when the mirror is clean and clear, people wonât see you. Theyâll see Jesus.
Zechariah 4:6 says, âNot by might nor by power, but by My Spirit.â Thatâs the secret. Itâs not hustle. Itâs not perfection. Itâs not personality. Itâs the Spirit of God in you.
You donât need a rĂŠsumĂŠ that impresses heaven. You need a heart that yields.
Think of the loaves and fish. It wasnât the amount that matteredâit was the offering. Jesus took the little that was available and multiplied it. He will do the same with your time, your gifts, your words, your obedience.
The pressure isnât on you to be enough. Itâs on you to abide.
The fruit is His. The outcome is His. The glory is His.
When you feel the weight of being âcalled,â pause and remember:
Itâs not about youâitâs about God through you.

đ Prayer for the Day
God,
Iâve been trying to do too much on my own. Iâve confused calling with performance. Iâve allowed fear and striving to replace trust and surrender.
But today, I remember that itâs not by might, not by powerâbut by Your Spirit. The pressure is not mine to carry. You didnât ask me to do everything perfectly. You asked me to remain in You.
So I let go of control. I open my hands. I ask You to fill me, guide me, and use meânot for my own name, but for Yours.
Let people see You in me. Let my life be a window to heavenâs glory.
Iâm not enoughâbut You are. And that is more than enough.
In Jesusâ powerful name,
Amen.

âSo do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.â
Isaiah 30:21 (NIV):
âWhether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, âThis is the way; walk in it.ââ
1 Thessalonians 5:24 (NIV):
âThe one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.â
đĄ Devotional Thought
You made it to Day 7âand maybe for the first time in a while, you're beginning to believe it: You are called. You donât need to wait for another sign, another open door, or another perfect moment. God has already prepared good works for you to walk inâand the path is open.
The world may still try to convince you that you're not ready, but God says you're His workmanshipâHis masterpiece. That means your design is intentional. Your voice matters. Your story matters. Your presence in the lives of others matters.
And you donât have to be perfect to walk boldly. You only need to walk in faith.
Confidence isnât arroganceâitâs agreeing with what God says about you. Hebrews 10:35 reminds us not to throw away our confidence, because itâs the key to perseverance and promise. You need that confidence to stay the course, even when itâs hard. Even when you still feel unqualified.
If youâre waiting to feel brave, you might wait forever. But if you decide today that Godâs call is greater than your comfort, then your next step becomes clear:
Walk.
Even if your knees shake.
Even if the details arenât clear.
Even if others doubt.
Even if you doubt.
Walk boldlyâbecause the One who called you is faithful. He doesnât just call the qualified. He qualifies the called.
And that includes you.

đ Prayer for the Day
Father,
Thank You for walking with me these past 7 days. I see now that You have been calling me all along. Not because of what Iâve doneâbut because of who You are.
You have prepared good works for me. You have equipped me through Your Spirit. Youâve gone before me, and You will never leave me.
So I choose boldness todayânot because I feel brave, but because You are with me. I renounce fear, doubt, and comparison. I silence the voice that says Iâm not enough, and I amplify the truth that You are my sufficiency.
Use my life. Use my story. Let it bring glory to You.
I walk forward, not in my own power, but in Yours.
In Jesusâ name,
Amen.
