Finding Hope and Purpose After Job Loss
A 7-day Bible study exploring faith, trust, and God's provision during the difficult season of job loss and unemployment.
About this plan
Job loss can feel like one of life's most destabilizing experiences. The identity we've built around our work, the financial security we've relied upon, and the daily rhythms that structured our lives suddenly shift. In these moments, it's natural to feel anxious, uncertain, and even abandoned. Yet Scripture speaks directly to our circumstances, offering comfort, perspective, and hope.
This seven-day study is designed to anchor your faith during this season. We'll explore what the Bible teaches about God's faithfulness when circumstances fail, the true source of our identity and worth, and how difficult seasons can become opportunities for spiritual growth. You'll discover that job loss, while painful, is not outside God's awareness or care.
Throughout this study, you'll encounter biblical figures who faced loss and uncertainty—from Joseph in prison to Job in despair to the disciples after Jesus's crucifixion. Each story reveals a God who is present in suffering, purposeful in providence, and faithful to those who trust Him. You'll also learn practical truths about seeking God's provision, maintaining your identity in Christ, and discovering new direction.
As you work through each day, give yourself permission to feel the emotions that arise while simultaneously fixing your gaze on God's character and promises. This isn't about pretending the loss doesn't hurt; it's about learning to hurt while holding onto hope. By the end of this week, you may not have all the answers, but you'll have a stronger foundation of faith to stand upon.
Remember: Your job defined what you do, but Christ defines who you are. 💙
