Healing Racism: The Church's Call
A 7-day Bible study exploring Scripture's vision for racial reconciliation, unity in Christ, and the Church's prophetic role in dismantling racism and building beloved community.
About this plan
Racism remains one of the most persistent and painful divisions in our world—and tragically, within the Church itself. Yet Scripture is abundantly clear: God's vision for humanity transcends every barrier of ethnicity, nationality, and skin color. From the Tower of Babel to Pentecost, from the apostle Peter's vision to Paul's declaration that in Christ there is neither Jew nor Gentile, the Bible consistently calls us toward reconciliation and unity.
This seven-day study invites you to examine what Scripture says about our common humanity, the sin of racism, and the redemptive power of the Gospel to heal our deepest divisions. We will explore how Jesus himself crossed cultural and ethnic boundaries, how the early Church wrestled with prejudice, and what it means for us today to embody Christ's inclusive love.
The Church has both failed and succeeded in confronting racism. We have upheld systems of oppression and, at our best, prophetically challenged them. This study is not about guilt or shame, but about awakening to our calling. God invites us into the work of healing—to examine our own hearts, to listen to voices different from our own, and to partner with the Holy Spirit in building a Church and a world where all people are valued as bearers of God's image.
As you move through these seven days, prepare your heart to be challenged, convicted, and transformed. Bring your questions, your pain, and your hope. The Gospel is good news for all people, and healing begins when we take Scripture seriously and let it reshape how we see one another. 🕊️ ✨
