Marriage and family are central to our earthly experience, shaping our identities and daily lives. Naturally, many wonder, Will these relationships continue in heaven? Jesus’ words about marriage in the afterlife challenge our earthly perspectives, inviting us to understand the eternal nature of relationships beyond this life.

In Mark 12:25, Jesus states, “When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.” This statement can seem surprising or even unsettling, as it suggests that the intimate bond of marriage as we know it does not continue in the afterlife.
