Nominalism—the practice of bearing a Christian name while lacking genuine faith and transformation—represents one of the most subtle yet dangerous threats to the modern church. Throughout Scripture, Jesus confronted this very issue: people who claimed to follow Him while their hearts remained far from Him. In Matthew 15:8, He quoted Isaiah, saying, "These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me."
