The Net and the Catch: Discovering True Discipleship

📖 Introduction

The Gospels are a profound invitation into the life, teachings, and heart of Jesus Christ. Throughout these four books, we see Jesus’ ministry unfold as a message of hope, love, and truth. Among His many teachings, parables serve as vivid illustrations to reveal divine truths — inviting His followers to listen closely and respond faithfully.

In Matthew 13:47–50, Jesus shares the parable of the net, describing how fishermen collect all kinds of fish, but then separate the good from the bad at the shore. This picture points powerfully to the final judgment, where true and false followers will be revealed. It urges us to consider not only who we follow, but also how we live in light of eternity.
