Let’s take a closer look at Genesis. The name itself means ‘beginning’ or ‘birth’ – did you know that? This first book of the Bible is designed to teach you about the beginnings of Earth and what God’s plan is for his people. “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth” (1:1). We know from this opening that God is the creator of the Heavens and Earth, which he made for a plan and purpose.
