Engaging Skeptics with Love and Logic
A 7-day study on how to share faith with doubters through compassion, reason, and authentic witness, grounded in Scripture.
About this plan
In our increasingly secular world, many of us encounter skeptics—people who question faith, doubt God's existence, or struggle with Christianity's claims. Rather than viewing these encounters as confrontations to win, Scripture invites us to see them as opportunities to demonstrate love and wisdom. This study explores how the Bible equips us to engage thoughtfully with doubt.
The apostle Peter urges us to "always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect" (1 Peter 3:15). Notice the balance: reason and respect, conviction and compassion. Jesus himself engaged with skeptics—Nicodemus, Thomas, the Samaritan woman—meeting them where they were and inviting them deeper.
Throughout this week, we'll examine biblical examples of faithful engagement with doubt. We'll learn that skepticism isn't the enemy; dismissiveness is. We'll discover that intellectual honesty strengthens faith rather than threatening it. And we'll see that the most powerful apologetic is often a transformed life lived with integrity and love. 💕
Whether you're a parent addressing a child's questions, a friend navigating a difficult conversation, or someone wrestling with your own doubts, this study will deepen your ability to engage authentically. Come ready to think, to listen, and to love more fully. 📖
