Delayed Gratification and Kingdom Priorities

In our modern world, we live in an age of instant gratification. We can order meals with a tap, stream entertainment on demand, and communicate across the globe in seconds. Yet the Bible calls us to a radically different approach to life—one that prioritizes the eternal over the immediate, God's kingdom over our fleeting desires.

Delayed gratification is not about denying joy or living miserably. Rather, it's about understanding that some things are worth waiting for. The kingdom of God operates on a different timeline than the world. Jesus taught His followers to seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all other things would be added to them (Matthew 6:33).
